NEW!  QR CODING: Jamie Wagner leads the way integrating the latest technology!

BLOG POSTED  1/20/11

Anyone ever heard of a QR code?  It is a scanner (like below) for your smartphone.  The use of thes QR codes are so diverse these days, but are only now becoming more prevalent in everyday use.  The more people learn what they are and how to use them, the more access we can have to pricing and information across the whole realm of real estate and marketing.

Here's how it works:  Get yourself an application search on your smart phone.  (for the IPhone, I use Red Lazer.  It is FREE)  Then, you just line the trigger up on your phone till the scanner takes a picture of the black and white code (as below).  Instantly, information on whatever is linked to your QR code appears on your phone in a readable format.  It was so easy, it literally took only 3 minutes to load the program and use it for the first time.

As a realtor, I am going to be installing these codes on all my websites and attaching a QR code to each listing I have.  I will also be putting out special signs next to our FOR SALE signs  with the code on it, instructing passer's by to capture the listing on their smart phone.

In the regular stores, (like Best Buy and HH Gregg), these QR codes are already on the packaging of most all devices and products.  By standing in the store near a purchase you plan to make, you can scan the QR code and in the blink of an eye know the pricing of all the nearby stores on that specific product.  Best Buy matches best prices, and you can forget researching, then printing out a hard copy (GREEN Alert) and then presenting it to the manager.  This is completely there (in the now) and right in front of your face...and the store personell's, thus getting you the LOWEST price match possible.

Who doesn't love that idea?  Not much work for saving a lot of green!  Try it!  Click here to download your QR reader for your smartphone

Blog Post:  1/31/11;  QR Codes continue to POP UP!

It's officially been 10 days since I wrote the blog introducing QR Coding to you all.  Now, I am seeing black and white symbols EVERYWHERE!  It is amazing how many products in the supermarket offer this coding.  In fact, I am headed to Wegman's to do a little experiment on the day-to-day power of QR!   I will post what I find, but if the experiment works, I should be able to see if I am paying the cheapest price for product.

BLOG POST  1/1/11

All right, what can I say?  I love Applecross.  I love meeting the neighbors.  I love the layout of our neighborhood, with the fitness center, pools, beautiful golf course and I LOVE Chester County.  I have lived here for a long time and have not seen any other area I would rather live in. Now, with the change of seasons, we are all seeing what makes this area of the country so spectacular!  What makes our particular community so spectacular is its entire set-up.

Many of you have asked us why build a website for a single neighborhood?  We wanted to help all the residents here expore all the ins and outs of Applecross.  To navigate this as a whole, we needed a website.  Our residents deserve more than just email updates from the community to announce events and give progress reports.  While these are important, we thought it would be better to have a single place to get information about EVERYTHING Applecross!

As I attempt to blog, I will be looking to you for possible topics.  If you have anything you want to hear about, please suggest it to me.
